Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube addressed the media on Sunday night after defenseman Jake McCabe suffered a head injury during a fight against Garnet Hathaway of the Philadelphia Flyers.

Defenseman Jake McCabe missed the final two periods of last night's game against the Philadelphia Flyers due to an injury he sustained during a fight with Garnet Hathaway.

It made for a scary scene as the Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman fell to the ice and his head bounced off of the ground.

McCabe was clearly dazed and could not get up without falling back over. He even needed some help from Morgan Rielly.

However, he was eventually able to get up and go back to the locker room, where he stayed for the rest of the game.

The Maple Leafs were able to pull out the win, although as you can imagine, a lot of the focus was on McCabe and the concern for his health.

While speaking to the media, head coach Craig Berube noted that there were no concrete updates on the defenseman.

That said, the coach also explained how he hated the play and understands just how dangerous it all is given McCabe's history with head injuries this season.

The Maple Leafs have a packed schedule this week, and for now, it seems like McCabe is likely to miss some action.

Connor Timmins has been the odd man out as of late, so it would not be surprising to see him in the lineup for the immediate future.

Hopefully, McCabe is doing okay and is recovering well. We wish him nothing but the best after that scary fall.
