The Toronto Maple Leafs have a ton of players experiencing scoring droughts right now and one of them just so happens to be Max Domi, who could be trade bait now.

In 42 games this season, Max Domi has only been able to score a total of three goals and it has easily been one of the worst seasons of his career.

So much so that there is now talk about the Leafs trading the forward so that they can improve their bottom six heading into the postseason.

Max Domi embarrassed by reporter Jon Steitzer

For the most part, Max Domi has played as a Center this season which goes against his strengths.

Moreover, he has played on the left wing of the second line and that does not play to his strengths either. Instead, he should be playing on the right wing where he has proven to be effective.

Nevertheless, Domi is hearing it from the Maple Leafs media right now, including Jon Steitzer of Leafs Nation.

As you will read below, Steitzer had some harsh words for Max Domi, and even compared the struggling Maple Leafs forward to one of the most unreliable cars in the world.

"Max Domi's nickname should be Cybertruck because he's expensive and comes with a ton of buyer's remorse."

This is pretty brutal but given Domi's play as of late, it is very hard to disagree with an assessment like this.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have been struggling on offense as of late, and it seems clear that something needs to change, especially with the trade deadline on the horizon.

Only time will tell whether or not the Maple Leafs do something drastic at the deadline and if Brad Treliving is able to make this team better.

As for Domi, it feels like his days are numbered unless the team can get themselves a third-line center to make his life easier.
