Craig Berube & the Maple Leafs have finally found the solution to their bottom-six problems
Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube put together a new third line on Sunday evening, and it paid huge dividends to Max Domi and Nick Roberston.
All year long, the biggest knock on the Maple Leafs has been their bottom-six which has been fairly abysmal, with numerous players having trouble producing any offense.
Craig Berube has a eureka moment with the Toronto Maple Leafs third line
The perfect example of this is Max Domi, who before Sunday, hadn't even scored a single goal all season.
He finally got that goal, and the entire team was excited for him, which just shows the camaraderie.
Domi was playing on a line with Bobby McMann and Nick Robertson. Robertson has also struggled, but he ended up scoring as well.
After the game, Craig Berube spoke to the media about the third line's performance, and his words indicate that this line might be here to stay.
Another player who was impressed with the third line was John Tavares, who had his very own hat trick in the match.
It is important for the Maple Leafs to have some stability on the third line, and we hope that this trend continues.
It would be silly and downright malpractice for Craig Berube to split these guys up. Hopefully, we see them all together on the ice next game as the Leafs look to make it two wins in a row.
