Mitch Marner Reveals How He Feels About Crushing Auston Matthews' Dreams at the 4 Nations Face-Off
set up the game-winning goal at the 4 Nations Face-Off and it came at the expense of his Toronto Maple Leafs teammate and Team USA star, Auston Matthews.
The 4 Nations Face-Off final was simply sensational and Connor McDavid's game-winning goal will be iconic for years to come.
In fact, it was Mitch Marner who dished out the pass, and for Toronto Maple Leafs fans, it was a truly incredible moment that will be in our minds for the forseeable future.

Unfortunately, it came at the expense of Auston Matthews, who lost yet another double-elimination game in Boston.
As you can imagine, there were some mixed emotions here for Leafs fans and for Marner as well, who couldn't help but admit it was a bittersweet moment.
After the game, Marner spoke about Matthews and the incredible tournament he had aside from that final play.
"Man, he played a great game tonight. He's, I mean, what a warrior he was tonight again in this whole tournament. So, yeah, you know, it's always, like I spoke about before the tournament, it's always fun competing against him. He's such a competitor, such a great player. I'm very fortunate to be on his line and play with him a lot. I mean, I thought he was going to score on me when I was on the ice there, to be honest. And Binner made a hell of a save. And then, luckily enough, you know, like I said, I found Connor and he put it home."
This was easily one of the best ideas the NHL has ever had and it will always live on as one of the coolest tournaments ever.
The National Hockey League should be very proud of itself, and the players should also be proud for how they showed out.
As for Marner and Matthews, they can take this experience and apply it to the NHL postseason this year.
The Maple Leafs can be real cup contenders but they will need their best players to be great when it all matters.
