William Nylander shockingly receives a massive co-sign from Sean Avery
Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander has easily been one of the best players on the entire team this season and it has been fun to watch.
He currently leads the team in goals, and ever since the injury to Auston Matthews, Nylander has been one of those players who has helped be a leader on the team.
The Leafs are currently on a three-game winning streak. A lot of this has to do with Nylander and his efforts.
One area where Nylander has been particularly impressive is the power play. The Leafs have struggled with that this season but now, Nylander is on a heater.
Having said that, the entire hockey world is currently taking notice of what Nylander is doing. One such person is Sean Avery, who recently delivered a lengthy breakdown of Nylander's prowess.
Sean Avery talks highly of William Nylander
It is rare to see Avery compliment anyone, much less a skilled player on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
However, that is just how good Nylander is. He is one of those guys who completely transcends any petty differences between the goal scorers and the goons.
Last season, fans where certainly getting frustrated with Nylander due to his contract. But based on his current production, he is definitely worth the price tag. Now, it will just be up to Nylander to show that he can keep this production up for the long-term.
Hopefully, Auston Matthews can come back soon and give Nylander some much-needed help. That would certainly take this Leafs team to a completely different level.
Only time will tell whether or not Nylander can continue his goal-scoring ways, and whether the Leafs can keep the winning streak alive.
They will look to extend it on Tuesday night as they take on the Ottawa Senators.
