For those who don't know the lore, Cedric Pare is despised in Quebec because of his hit on Montreal Canadiens forward Patrik Laine, which left the star with a sprained knee.
Pare has since been cut from the Toronto Maple Leafs, while Laine is officially back with the Canadiens, much to the delight of fans.
However, Pare is currently in the midst of a solid campaign with the Marlies, and on Friday night, he found himself back in Quebec for a game against the Laval Rocket.
Overall, this was a good game for the Marlies as they ended up winning the match in a shootout.
As it turns out, none other than Cedric Pare was the one to score the game-winner in the shootout, and it was a bittersweet moment.
We say this because throughout the entre game, the Laval Rocket crowd was booing Cedric Pare and they would not let up.
It was all very brutal and it was a good example of how fans are always going to remember the things you do to their favorite players.
However, with Cedric Pare getting the last laugh, he did make sure to taunt the fans in Laval, which was pretty fun to see.
While some fans may not love Pare, he is certainly someone who is exciting to watch, and he does not mind playing the role of a villain.
Those kinds of players keep the sport interesting and entertaining, so we are never going to complain.
Especially when those players are in the Marlies organization.
