William Nylander has been the top goal-scorer on the Maple Leafs this season as he has 33 goals and 58 points in 58 games.
His point-per-game pace has been huge for this team and with Auston Matthews struggling to keep the pace at times, the Swedish forward has proven to be a valuable asset.
Unfortunately, despite playing 21 minutes against the Boston Bruins on Tuesday, Nylander did not get to see the ice during the overtime period.
After the game, Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube was asked about this, and it led to a concerning answer as the coach revealed that something was "bothering" Nylander.
Berube was not specific about what the injury was and whether or not it is something that will keep the forward out for a prolonged period of time.
Having said that, fans should definitely be a bit concerned by the other update from last night, in which Chris Tanev was seen leaving the arena in a sling on his right arm.
Tanev is very important to this team and if he is out for a long period of time, then the Leafs could very well be in for a world of hurt.
Meanwhile, we are hoping for some good news on Nylander in the not-so-distant future. He is very important to this team and with the Leafs trying to win the Atlantic Division, the team will need him healthy.
The Maple Leafs are currently on a three-game winning streak and will take on the New York Rangers on Friday in what could end up being a first-round playoff preview.
