Nick Kypreos shocks his co-hosts with Mitch Marner projected value hot take
Mitch Marner is up for a new contract this summer and there have been numerous debates about how much the Toronto Maple Leafs should pay him.
Overall, this was a debate on The Real Kyper and Bourne, where Nick Kypreos had some interesting thoughts on Marner's next deal.
As he explains, Marner should actually get something close to what Leon Draisaitl got, which was about $14 million per year.
This led to a huge debate as his co-hosts thought he was completely out of his mind.

The other hosts on the show noted that Marner hasn't been able to produce at 5-on-5 and that he just isn't as good as the best players in the NHL.
However, Kypreos stayed firm on his take, noting that Marner absolutely would get a huge contract if he were to become a free agent.

It should also be noted that the salary cap may go up to $97 million next season. The least it will go up to is $92.5 million.
