Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby is one of the greatest players in the entire history of the National Hockey League.

Overall, he has accomplished a lot throughout his historic career. He has won three Stanley Cups and he continues to chase down legends on the all-time points list.

For instance, earlier this year, he was able to achieve 1600-career points, which is very impressive.

At this stage of his career, there is a very real possibility that he someday hits 2000 points, and he would only be the second player in NHL history to do so.

Tonight, however, Crosby hit a new milestone that fans are certainly taken aback by.

He now officially has 600-career goals. Sure, he is still over 250 goals away from Alexander Ovechkin, but who cares?

Sidney Crosby hits another milestone

His 600th goal was an incredible moment for the sport as he was able to show the world that age is just a number.

Furthermore, all of his teammates rushed onto the ice to give him a big hug. It was really a great moment and the fans absolutely loved it.

500 goals is an achievement that a lot of players look forward to, however, 600 is something that only a select few have been able to achieve.

If you think about it, Crosby should have a lot more than 600. His concussion issues in the early 2010s kept him from unlocking his true potential.

This missed time is a huge "what-if" that could have led to even more greatness from the pride of Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia.

We cannot wait to see what else Crosby is able to do this season. By the end of the season, he will be very close to hitting 1700 points, and that will be a massive celebration.
