Auston Matthews is going to be the captain of Team USA at the 4 Nations Face-Off and a lot of fans are excited to see what he is going to be able to do on the International stage.

Of course, this includes player headshots from the 4 Nations Face-Off media day. Matthews was not exempt from this and much to his chagrin, his photos is getting a lot of traction online.
As you can see in the tweets below, Matthews' hairline is receding quite a bit and the rest of his hair was a bit of a mess.
Consequently, the Maple Leafs captain was the subject of hilarious jokes and some pretty brutal trolling online.
The internet can be pretty awful when it comes to this kind of thing and we're sure Matthews is used to it by now.
Of course, he can get his revenge pretty easily by going out there and delivering his team the inaugural 4 Nations Face-Off victory.
There is no telling if the league will ever do this tournament again, so Matthews and his Team USA teammates will need to give it everything they have.
The Americans are actually the favorites to win it all and the reason for that is their strong offense and impeccable goaltending.
Only time will tell whether or not Matthews and Team USA live up to the hype. Their first game is Thursday against Finland.
