Overall, the Super Bowl Halftime Show is typically performed by popstars, but this year, the NFL decided to take a risk and have a rapper take the stage while in the midst of a very public beef with Canadian megastar, Drake.

Yesterday, during the first Team Canada practice, the players on the team were asked who should perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show next.
Mitch Marner was the first to respond, and he immediately said Drake, which could very well be a shot at Lamar. Or simply, Canadian pride.
Many other players on Team Canada went on to say Drake, while others went with country stars and pop stars like Taylor Swift.
Meanwhile, the team is getting ready for a big game on Wednesday as they take on Sweden in the first game of the tournament.
