With the 2025 World Junior Championship on the horizon, Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan is set to play a big role for Team Canada.

As reported by Hockey Patrol, after last year's disappointing quarterfinal loss, Canada is determined to reclaim its spot atop the hockey world and Easton Cowan will be a focal point of their offense.

Ahead of the tournament, Cowan received valuable advice from Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner who are two of Toronto's brightest stars.

Canada's roster features an impressive mix of talent which is including Gavin McKenna, Oliver Bonk and Carter George.

Cowan's offensive creativity and leadership will be critical as the group prepares for their Boxing Day opener against Finland.

Entering the tournament with high expectations, Easton Cowan expressed gratitude for the encouragement he received from Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner.

"Good luck, score some goals. Play your game, and good things will come."

This advice aligns with Cowan's skillset since the young forward is already proving himself to be a dominant force in junior hockey.

After unofficially setting the OHL record with a 56-game point streak, Easton Cowan has continued his formidable play this season and the World Juniors will be an opportunity for him to show his abilities on an international stage.

With Matthews and Marner's support, easton Cowan is ready to lead Canada's charge and retake the glorious place the Canada had in this type of tournament in the past.

The tournament runs from December 26, 2024, to January 5, 2025, and all eyes will be on Easton Cowan and all the top prospects as they look to help Canada reclaim World Junior glory.
