Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving has a very difficult job as he has to figure what moves to make for this team.

Overall, the Maple Leafs already have a very strong roster, but there are still areas in which they can improve.

One such area is their forward depth, especially down the middle at center.

With all of the injuries the team has been dealing with, this fact has been exposed. It also doesn't help that Max Domi and David Kampf are goaless.

Recently, Treliving spoke with Pierre LeBrun in a piece for The Athletic, and it was here where he gave an interesting perspective on what the Leafs need to do.

Essentially, Treliving noted that he believes this Leafs roster is good enough but he still wants to "monitor" the situation.

With that being said, it seems pretty obvious at this stage that Treliving is very much interested in bringing in some extra pieces, especially at center.

"We want to see what these guys can do. As we get bodies back, we'll continue to monitor it. I don't think it's crazy talk to say that's an area (center depth) that we'll try to address.

Trying to find the right fit, trying to find the right player, and then is it better than what you have right now?"

Only time will tell whether or not he will be able to do so such a thing.

After all, it costs a lot of money to go out and get yourself a center. They do not grow on trees, and teams are very protective of their assets.

Moreover, the Leafs have a lot of different players they could trade for, which would make things infinitely harder on the franchise.

Only time will tell whether or not Treliving can make some magic happen.
