Last night, the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Utah Hockey Club by a score of 3-2 in part due to the two goals scored by Leafs superstar Mitch Marner.

Overall, it was a great game for the Maple Leafs who were able to secure their seventh win in their last eight games.

Now, the team is in first in the Atlantic Division and they have a solid record of 13-6-2.

There is no doubt that this Maple Leafs team is rolling and with guys like Mitch Marner on a different level, they have a lot of potential to go far.

However, if there is one thing the Leafs have struggled with, it is getting the officials and the NHL Department of Player Safety on their side.

Last week, Matthew Knies was injured by a hit from Zach Whitecloud, and no penalty was assessed, despite Whitecloud leaving his feet.

Last night, Logan Cooley had a low clip on Marner, and again, no penalty was called.

Today, some Maple Leafs fans were wondering if anyone from the DoPS would come out and say something about the hit.

After all, we have seen guys get fined for pulling stuff like this. At the end of the day, it is dangerous and can cause serious injuries.

However, nothing actually ended up happening. Instead, Cooley is going to get off scot-free.

For a lot of Maple Leafs fans out there, this is beyond frustrating and proof that there is some sort of anti-Leafs bias going around.

While this is impossible to prove, there is reason to be frustrated if you are a supporter of this Leafs team.

As long as the team keeps winning, it won't be so much of a problem.
