Bryan McCabe was a stud defenseman for the Toronto Maple Leafs who played with the franchise from 2000 to 2008 and during that time, he made his impact with the team known.
McCabe was someone who could throw down the gloves and there were certainly guys in the league who were scared of him and his strength.
However, there was one player, in particular, who feared no man, and of course, we are talking about none other than Zdeno Chara.
When Chara was a member of the Ottawa Senators, he and McCabe got into a huge fight and fans remember it fondly because of just how badly the Leafs defenseman got ragdolled.
Interestingly enough, Chara never actually punched Bryan McCabe during this fight. Instead, he just kind of dragged him around the ice using brute strength.
During the most recent episode of Spittin Chiclets, the former Maple Leafs defenseman spoke about the fight with Chara and gave some previously unknown details.
Mostly, McCabe spoke on the fact that Chara was aggravating his goalie, so he had to take charge and do something.
However, things quickly turned sour as soon as Chara picked him up by the jersey and "dusted" him around the ice without throwing a punch.
McCabe was very grateful for the fact that no punches were thrown as he believes that may have saved his life.
From there, the defenseman noted that he felt a complete sense of embarrassment after the fight seeing as though he was completely manhandled.
To be fair to Bryan McCabe, the same fate would have happened to anyone in his position. Chara is a beast of a human being, and there is no way you are beating him in a fight.
