MLSE CEO Keith Pelley recently spoke at the PrimeTime Sports Management Conference and discussed the Toronto Maple Leafs' transformation.

Since taking over in January, Keith Pelley has seen great potential in the team by attributing their improved performance to enhanced culture and chemistry.

He highlighted the strong bond between President Brendan Shanahan, GM Brad Treliving and their new head coach Craig Berube and described it as the "perfect triangle".

Following a disappointing playoff loss to Boston in the playoff last year, the Leafs parted ways with Sheldon Keefe and replaced him with Craig Berube.

Keith Pelley's focus on culture and chemistry aligns with his vision of building a championship-winning team, something that the Toronto Maple Leafs struggled to be in recent years.

"The team is obviously playing a different style of hockey this year, it takes a while to learn (that). With the style of hockey we're playing, it's not about beating teams 6-4. So, they're learning that style," he said.

"When you go into the dressing room after the game, you see the chemistry, you see the culture and you can't win in business, you can't win in sport, without the right chemistry and culture."

He acknowledged that Craig Berube's system takes time to implement, but he's already seeing positive changes in the players mindsets since his arrival.

Toronto currently sits second in the Atlantic Division and they are showing early signs of great cohesion in the group.

Keith Pelley emphasized the importance of developing a championship culture from top management to the down of the hierarchy.

Do yo think they will be better or less good than last year?
