Insiders like Darren Dreger have been heavily focused on general manager Brad Treliving, and with the deadline coming up on Friday, it seems like the rumblings are getting louder and louder.

If you have been following the team, then you know that the Leafs are targeting a third line center, with names like Scott Laughton, Brayden Schenn, and even Brock Nelson flooding the headlines.
Fans are not convinced that Treliving is actually going to make a trade, however, Darren Dreger disagrees with the cynicism.
In his latest report, he all but guaranteed a trade for the Maple Leafs, claiming that the current cap situation is going to force them into a move that will change the makeup of the roster.
For now, it seems like young guns like Fraser Minten and Easton Cowan are entirely off limits, which does create a bit of an odd situation for the Maple Leafs.
Many of the teams they want to trade with would very much like to have Cowan or Minten in their trade packages. This is especially true as it pertains to Laughton or Schenn.
