Easton Cowan has been on an absolute tear in the London Knights this season, and today, he begins his World Juniors campaign with Team Canada.
Unfortunately, the young Maple Leafs prospect has been riddled with injuries this season, and he almost suffered yet another one on Wednesday.
On Christmas Day, Cowan was practicing with Team Canada when he picked the ice, got stuck, and injured himself for a bit.
He went down on the ice, and there were definitely some fears that Cowan's World Juniors hopes might be completely over.
However, he eventually got up and continued to practice with his teammates, which is certainly a great sight to see.
According to Mark Masters, Cowan was quick to make fun of himself and noted that he is going to be all good, moving forward.
This will be music to the ears of Team Canada, who will be relying heavily on Easton Cowan throughout the tournament.
The Maple Leafs prospect is set to be on the team's top line, and his offensive output could very well avenge the country's poor performance from the last tournament.
Additionally, this could be a great way for him to show the Toronto Maple Leafs that he means business.
