Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan is a player who has superstar potential, and fans are very excited to see what he can do with the team going forward.
Recently, Easton Cowan broke the unofficial OHL point streak record and it was a huge moment for the kid.
However, in that very same game, Cowan was injured by a huge hit, and he has been out of the team's lineup ever since.
This has led to a whole lot of questions as Cowan recently accepted an invitation to Team Canada's World Juniors selection camp.
He revealed that he would attend but he would not participate. Now, a real update on his condition has finally been revealed.
According to Joshua Kloke of The Athletic, Easton Cowan is not suffering from any sort of concussion.
Instead, he is simply dealing with the aftermath of whiplash. Whiplash can be pretty bad, but it seems like Team Canada fully expects Cowan to be ready to go by the time the tournament starts.
When people hear whiplash, they usually think about car crashes and the strain on one's neck.
Sometimes, an open ice hit can be so hard that something like whiplash occurs. It is certainly scary, but Easton Cowan is a warrior.
Only time will tell what kind of tournament Cowan ends up having as his fairytale season continues.
