Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Miroslav Holinka felt World Juniors glory on Thursday night after Czechia defeated Team Canada and fellow Leafs youngster Easton Cowan.

Team Czechia and Team Canada faced off in the Quarter-Finals of the World Juniors last night, and it turned out to be a battle between two Toronto Maple Leafs prospects.

Of course, we are talking about London Knights forward Easton Cowan, and Edmonton Oil Kings sensation, Miroslav Holinka.

Miroslav Holinka celebrates Czechia win against Team Canada

The game was close until the very end, with Czechia pulling out the win with a goal in the final seconds.

It was absolutely heartbreaking for Canada, who was hit with a ton of criticism throughout the tournament.

In fact, much of this criticism was directed at Cowan, who did not have himself a good tournament, whatsoever.

Following the game, Holinka and his teammates were having a wonderful time celebrating their recent triumph.

As you can see below, the Czechians were even taunting the Canadians by blasting the host nation's goal song in the locker room.

The tournament is only going to get more difficult from here on out, although you cannot help but feel like the Czech Republic really does deserve this.

They are a nation that is constantly grinding away, and players like Miroslav Holinka have been sensational.

When it comes to Easton Cowan, you cannot help but feel bad for the kid. Hopefully, he is able to find a way to bounce back, going forward.
