New stat proves Bobby McMann is the real MVP of the Toronto Maple Leafs
Toronto Maple Leafs forward Bobby McMann has been playing fantastic hockey this season and on Wednesday, he got another goal, this time against the Dallas Stars.
McMann has been as solid as can be with the Maple Leafs, and this season, he has been able to capture seven goals and three assists in 24 games.
He is also a plus 11 which just goes to show that he always has a positive impact when he is on the ice.
Bobby McMann continues to play well for the Toronto Maple Leafs
Last night, McMann had himself a good game alongside his new linemates Max Domi and Nick Robertson.
This is the new Maple Leafs third line and it has been working wonders for the team after two games.
Below, you can see the goal that McMann scored, which turned out to be the game-winner. It was also the goal that chases Jake Oettinger from the match.
After the game, a very interesting stat was floated around by Sportsnet, and it is proof that Bobby McMann might actually be the MVP of the Maple Leafs.
Essentially, the team has a record of 15-0-1 whenever he scores a goal. If he pops one in, you can almost guarantee that the Leafs will not lose in regulation.
Of course, this is one of those stats that will eventually fall apart as McMann scores more goals.
That said, it also does showcase that it is important to get goals from your depth guys. When the depth is scoring, the team is just healthier as a whole.
Hopefully, things can continue to go well for McMann who is becoming a beloved player on the roster.
He definitely deserves all of the success right now, and he is a guy that will continue to be easy to root for.
