This afternoon, the Toronto Maple Leafs are taking on the Winnipeg Jets and there is no doubt that the team's projected lineup has some pretty eye-opening placements.

The Toronto Maple Leafs recently lost to the New York Islanders and this afternoon, the team has an opportunity to avenge that loss against a Winnipeg Jets team that has been sensational to start the year.

Of course, in order to get a win today, Craig Berube is going to have to put together the best lineup possible.

It goes without saying, but it is believed that Auston Matthews will have to sit out again today due to a re-aggravated injury.

As a result, the team has to get creative with who should be on the first line.

According to Leafs Latest, David Kampf will be on the Maple Leafs first line this afternoon, and his linemates will be Mitch Marner and Matthew Knies.

Knies - Kampf - Marner
Pacioretty - Tavares - Nylander
McMann - Domi - Robertson
Holmberg or Reaves - Dewar - Lorentz

Rielly - Timmins
Ekman-Larsson - Tanev
Benoit - McCabe

Woll
Hildeby or Murray

Considering the fact that Kampf typically plays on the fourth line, this is pretty shocking.

Meanwhile, the second line will be Max Pacioretty, John Tavares, and William Nylander.

Another reason for Kampf making the first line is because Berube wants to keep Max Domi with the likes of Nick Robertson and Bobby McMann.

They have had tremendous chemistry and it would be best not to break that up right now.

Only time will tell whether or not any of these lineup adjustments actually work.
