Toronto Maple Leafs fans have been begging for a Nazem Kadri reunion for years and with the team in need of a Center, there has been rampant speculation about a potential trade with the Calgary Flames.
Nazem Kadri has been having yet another solid season with the Calgary Flames as he has a total of 18 goals and 36 points.
There have been rumors that he might be used as a trade piece, although according to some new reports, prospective buyers should beware.
Nazem Kadri at the trade deadline?
The Maple Leafs desperately need another center and Kadri would certainly be well within their needs.
However, according to Elliotte Friedman, the former Maple Leafs star is off of the table. In fact, Kadri is one of three players the Flames are absolutely not trading.
If you are a big Kadri fan and you have been hoping for his return to the Leafs, this is going to be truly devastating news.
However, it should not come as that much of a surprise. After all, Kadri is a great player and the Flames believe they can still do something.
Ironically enough, The Maple Leafs will play the Flames on Tuesday night in Calgary.
Coming off of a win against the Edmonton Oilers, the Leafs will be looking to complete their sweep of Alberta.
As for the Flames, they will try to get the win and remain in playoff contention as the regular season winds down.
