Ottawa Senators center Nick Cousins ran over Toronto Maple Leafs forward Jacob Quillan, however, it did not work out in his favor and his injury prognosis proves it.

Nick Cousins became the enemy of all Toronto Maple Leafs fans on Saturday after he took Jacob Quillan out with a knee-on-knee hit.

The kid was playing in his first NHL game and had a ton of friends and family there to enjoy the show.

However, it quickly turned into a nightmare as his family could only feel an outpouring of concern for the young man. Ultimately, it was pretty difficult to watch.

Quillan's status moving forward is a bit of an unknown, however, we now have a prognosis on Cousins, who was shaken up worse than the Maple Leafs forward was.

Essentially, the Senators' pest is going to have to miss a total of six to eight weeks with a knee injury.

One could argue that this is just Karmic justice for what he did to Quillan on Hockey Night in Canada.

In fact, Cousins is considered to be one of the most hated players in the entire NHL, according to other players in the league.

Given what he did on Saturday night, it is easy to see why he would be hit with such a harsh designation.

As for Quillan, there is no telling when he will get another NHL opportunity as it now seems like he will probably get sent down to the Toronto Marlies soon.

Hopefully, the kid continues to grind it out, and perhaps even gets another chance at NHL glory.
