Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube has had to manage a plethora of injuries this season, however, he has mostly handled it perfectly and with grace.

While the NHL is currently focused on the conclusion of the 4 Nations Face-off, teams are starting to head back to practice as the league resumes operations on Saturday.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are one of the teams back on the ice, and as it turns out, injured forward Calle Jarnkrok was a participant on Tuesday.

Jarnkrok has been dealing with a sports hernia but has slowly been ramping up his ice time in an effort to get back into the lineup.

For now, there is no timeline for his return, although he could be a huge help to this Leafs team as they prepare for a postseason run.

While speaking to the media, Berube offered a bit of an update on Jarnkrok and where he is at with his recovery.

"He looked fine, he's really coming along. Great to have him out there. He needs time. He needs time to practice with us, and work and see where he's at, make sure he's feeling good."

For now, fans should not bank on the forward coming back anytime soon, although he could very well show up in time for the playoffs.

Meanwhile, one has to wonder if Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews will play Saturday against the Carolina Hurricanes.

After all, Thursday night is going to be an emotional game for both of them and they have not gotten the same amount of rest as their teammates.

Whatever the case may be, the NHL is having a wonderful time with the 4 Nations Face-Off and so are the fans, who are the true winners in all of this.
