New Rangers defenseman Jacob Trouba is going to be traded soon and some fans might be wondering if the Toronto Maple Leafs have any interest.
Jacob Trouba and Chris Kreider have been embroiled in numerous trade rumors to start the season, and overall, it has led to some uncertainty around the Rangers franchise.
After all, Jacob Trouba is the captain of the team, so it's hard to make a deal that would be equitable in terms of what the Rangers would be getting back.
However, rival teams know that the Rangers want to get rid of Trouba, which ultimately gives those franchises an edge when negotiating.
Today, a huge development came down the pipeline in regards to Trouba as it was revealed that he would sit out against the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight.

Well, it is probably better that they don't. Sure, an extra defenseman would be lovely, but Trouba just isn't worth it at this juncture.
Moreover, the team is firing on all cylinders, and unless they were also getting a middle-six center in the deal, the Leafs should avoid giving up any assets right now.
