Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jake McCabe has missed quite a bit of action with a head injury and fans have been very concerned about his immediate health.

A couple of weekends ago, Jake McCabe took a puck to the head against the Tampa Bay Lightning, and it left him out of the Toronto Maple Leafs lineup.

Originally, McCabe was not supposed to miss any time, as it was revealed by Craig Berube that he was doing just fine after the hit.

However, things immediately turned sour when it came time for the next game, as McCabe was listed as out.

Over the course of the next few days, it kept being said that Jake McCabe was expected to play and that he was going to be okay.

Of course, this turned out to not be the case and since then, McCabe has missed a grand total of five games. His presence has been missed, but hope has been on the horizon.

Jake McCabe is back in the Maple Leafs lineup

Well, today, according to Luke Fox of Sportsnet, it was confirmed that Jake McCabe will be back in the lineup for the Maple Leafs tonight.

The Maple Leafs are taking on the Anaheim Ducks tonight and it should be a good game considering the Ducks are not a very good team.

So far this season, the Leafs have beaten up on weaker teams, which is what you want out of a Stanley Cup contender.

Meanwhile, it appears as though Anthony Stolarz will be getting the start in goal tonight following a spectacular outing against the New Jersey Devils.

Only time will tell whether or not Jake McCabe's return to the ice will bring forth some solid results.
