Maple Leafs fans call out franchise after seemingly downplaying Anthony Stolarz injury
The Toronto Maple Leafs are currently being called out by fans after the team announced devastating news concerning the injury to Anthony Stolarz.
Earlier today, it was revealed that Stolarz would be getting light surgery on his knee to remove a foreign body that is being described as a "pebble."

In the announcement below, you can see that it was Brad Treliving who ended up breaking the news on Anthony Stolarz and his worsening knee.
MRI came back and revealed no structural damage. He will go undergo a procedure to remove a loose body within his knee.
He explains that it looks like a "little pebble."
Timeline of 4-6 weeks.
However, immediately after this announcement hit social media, fans decided to get pretty hostile about it and it is easy to understand why that was the case.
At the end of the day, the Maple Leafs had originally said that Stolarz was day-to-day.
This proved to be false, as he will now have to return in the New Year.
In many ways, this is reminiscent of how the team handled Auston Matthews who went from day-to-day to out for three weeks.
Below, you can see a plethora of angry reactions to the news. As you will see, some fans feel lied to.
Hopefully, the Maple Leafs learn something from this situation as it pertains to how they report their injuries.
Either way, it is a moot point now as Stolarz's fate is sealed.
