Last night, Toronto Maple Leafs lost to a struggling team in the Detroit Red Wings by a score of 4-2, and it was an abysmal effort on the offensive side of things.
Tonight, the Maple Leafs get to play against the Buffalo Sabres, and fans are expecting a much better effort.
Overall, Craig Berube understands that his team needs to be a lot better, especially against the weaker teams in the NHL.
The Buffalo Sabres are not a good team, and the Maple Leafs should be able to beat up on them pretty easily.
However, with a poor performance against the Red Wings, and a back-to-back game on the horizon, one would have to assume some big changes are coming.
In a report from Maple Leafs Hot Stove, Berube confirmed this to be the case.
It will be interesting to see what these changes are. After all, the Maple Leafs have a ton of players and extras who could see some playing time.
The team has been struggling to score goals, and perhaps some forward changes will have to be made to get this team going again.
While the guys on the top lines have been sensational, the Maple Leafs bottom six has been terrible and it is making Craig Berube pull his hair out.
If the Leafs lose to the Buffalo Sabres, then perhaps there will have to be a reckoning of sorts. A team this good should not be losing to the league's most pathetic bottom-feeders.
