David Pastrnak has 17 goals so far this season which is far behind the usual pace that he has set for himself year after year.
Meanwhile, Brad Marchand is no longer playing on a line with the Bruins forward, which has led to some nuclear rumors about the two's relationship.
For instance, Rich Keefe went on the radio in Boston and claimed that things were so bad between them that Pastrnak went to the front office and told them that he no longer wanted to play on a line with Marchand.
Keefe also claimed the Bruins locker room was in turmoil and Pastrnak was the reason behind all of it.
Today, Marchand got to address the media, and he was absolutely disgusted by the reports peddled by Keefe.
The Bruins captain noted that he and Pastrnak are the best of friends and that has absolutely not changed. He also said it was ridiculous to claim that Pastrnak was at the center of any sort of locker room strife.
Marchand went on to say that he and Pastrnak are no longer playing together because they want to spread the talent throughout the lineup.
For good measure, the captain also stated that journalists like Keefe should lose their job for reporting on things that are so blatantly false.
If one thing is for certain here it is that it will be very interesting to see how Keefe is going to respond to all of this.
