Evgeni Malkin victim of a home invasion

According to a report from CBS, the Allegheny County police are now investigating the home invasion and are looking for the suspects.

In addition to the Stanley Cup rings, numerous other items were stolen, however, it is unknown what the extent of the financial damage was.

Meanwhile, it was also reported that the thieves opened up his safe, which is one of the more harrowing details of the case.

Additionally, the thieves accessed Malkin's home by breaking in the backdoor and circumventing the alarm system.

Evgeni Malkin lives in Sewickley Heights which is an extremely affluent area and typically, these types of robberies simply don't happen.

With numerous athletes being targeted by home invaders, the FBI has actually issued a warning, urging professional athletes to be vigilant, moving forward.

In 42 games this season, Malkin has 8 goals and 25 assists for 33 points. Needless to say, his game is still firing on all cylinders, even at the age of 38.

The future Hall-of-Famer has spent his entire career with the Pittsburgh Penguins and has amassed 506 goals and 1329 points.

We hope authorities are able to find the thieves who did this and give Malkin his rings back.
