Toronto Maple Leafs reportedly looking to extend 6'4" depth forward
Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving made some great signings during the offseason and one of them just so happens to be fourth-line forward, Steven Lorentz.
Steven Lorentz won himself a Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers last season, and during the offseason, he was brought in by the Leafs to bring grit and depth to the lineup.

Overall, he has certainly lived up to his contract in the best ways possible, notching four goals and three assists so far this season.
In fact, on Tuesday afternoon, Lorentz scored a beautiful goal against the New York Islanders, which turned out to be the game-winner.
Lorentz has played all 38 games for the Toronto Maple Leafs this season, and it just goes to show that head coach Craig Berube is a huge fan of his.
Having said that, after yesterday's game, Nick Kypreos made some eye-opening comments on Sportsnet.
According to his reporting, the Maple Leafs want to extend Lorentz, and they are officially able to do so as of today.
The fourth line for the Maple Leafs has had a lot of players come in and out, but Lorentz has been the one guy who continues to get playing time.
With his Stanley Cup pedigree, it seems clear as day that the Lorentz signing is one that will pay off in the postseason.
Sure, the Leafs have plenty of other players to sign in the offseason, but there is no harm in locking up lower-tier guys now.
At the end of the day, Steven Lorentz has proven that he deserves it, and that will be enough to get Treliving's attention.
