Morgan Rielly Vancouver Canucks Trade Proposal Continues to Pick Up Steam in Hockey Circles
Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly has been struggling this season and it has led to some wild trade proposals, including ones with the Vancouver Canucks.
Morgan Rielly is the highest-paid defenseman on the Toronto Maple Leafs this season, however, one could argue he is the fourth-best D-man on the team right now.

In many ways, the assistant captain has become the team's whipping boy this season, even if they might be leading the Atlantic Division.
This has subsequently led to a whole bunch of trade proposals, even though the defenseman has a no-trade clause.
Regardless, NHL analyst and insider Nick Kypreos perpetuated a unique proposal this week, claiming that it would make sense for the Vancouver Canucks and the Toronto Maple Leafs to swap Rielly and J.T. Miller.
Kypreos' reasoning behind why the trade makes sense is certainly interesting and in a perfect world, this probably would be a good deal for both sides.
After all, Miller is not happy in Vancouver and the Maple Leafs are a team that could use a player like him.
Having said that, there is no way this actually happens. In fact, this is one of those proposals that gets brought up every year because the analysts are bored in between games.
The Leafs have had three days off and it is clear that some are reaching for things to talk about.
If Rielly and Miller do get swapped at the deadline, it would arguably be a bigger trade than the Mikko Rantanen deal, and we simply cannot see that one happening.
