Last night, the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Edmonton Oilers by a score of 4-3 in what was Joseph Woll's best game of the entire season.
He stopped 45 of 48 shots, meanwhile, Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner allowed four goals on just 28 shots.
Skinner is a goalie who is known to go on cold streaks. He either looks like a beer league goalie or the second coming of Patrick Roy, no in-between.
Last night, with the Maple Leafs scoring two quick goals on the Oilers in the first period, the Toronto faithful who traveled to Edmonton decided to make their voices heard.
According to Luke Fox, Toronto fans were jeering Skinner and chanting his name in a sarcastic manner.
This is not a good look for Edmonton seeing as though Leaf fans completely overpowered them in their very own barn.
Of course, this is not an isolated incident. Last weekend, Maple Leafs fans were the majority when the team traveled to Ottawa to take on the Senators.
Coming into this game, the Maple Leafs were on a three-game losing streak and were in desperate need of a good game.
They got exactly that and Skinner's lackluster play certainly helped them out with their mission to get back into the win column.
Moving forward, the Leafs will get to take on the Calgary Flames, the Seattle Kraken, and the Vancouver Canucks prior to the 4 Nations Face-Off.
If the Leafs can escape this road trip with four wins, then momentum will be on their side come March and April.
