Joseph Woll has been the starting goalie for the Toronto Maple Leafs as of late with Anthony Stolarz sidelined due to an injury.
With the Leafs taking on the Calgary Flames, fans were curious to see if Anthony Stolarz would be given the go-ahead to start tonight's game.
Unfortunately for Stollie, he is going to have to wait a couple of days. According to Luke Fox, it is Joseph Woll who is getting the start.
However, the good news for Stolarz right now is that Craig Berube is considering him an option for the game on Thursday night against the Seattle Kraken.
Getting Stolarz back would be absolutely huge as he has a 2.15 goals-against average and a save percentage of .927.
While Woll has been great during his partner's absence, there is no doubt that Stolarz was the better goalie to start the season.
Following the 4 Nations Face-Off, Craig Berube will be forced to make a decision on which goalie gets to be the starter moving forward as the playoffs approach.
It is not going to be an easy decision and we're sure Berube is dreading having to make it.
That said, having two amazing goaltenders is certainly one of the few problems you don't mind having.
