When it comes to making deals, Brad Treliving has yet to make a truly blockbuster trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and some fans are starting to lose patience.
Having said that, there has been quite a bit of documentation as it pertains to the kinds of moves the franchise wants to make in the coming weeks.
There appear to be two needs that Treliving is trying to address right now.
Those two needs are defense and a second or third-line center who could realistically give the Maple Leafs some much-needed depth down the middle.
According to Jonas Siegel, Brad Treliving and the Leafs know exactly the kind of centerman they want to pursue.
One of the names that has been floated around recently is Yanni Gourde of the Seattle Kraken.
However, one fan did note in the comments section of Leafs Latest that the team already had a center fitting this profile, although they ultimately let him go. Of course, we are talking about https://www.markerzone.com/hockey/stats/nhl/player/Ryan-OReilly-13181.
Whatever the case may be, the next few weeks are going to be very interesting as Leafs Nation is expecting some sort of trade to be made.
If Treliving does not deliver, then many are going to begin having some very uncomfortable conversations.
