Controversial Toronto Maple Leafs forward is next to get the boot, claims Insider
Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving has some heavy work on his hands, especially when it comes to navigating his forward group which has been up and down this season.
One player who struggled earlier in the year is none other than Nick Robertson, who is a player that many figured would have been gone by now given all of the drama surrounding his contract.

According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, Robertson is someone who could be as good as gone in the coming weeks.
When the team is at full strength, more often than not, head coach Craig Berube hits the forward with a healthy scratch.
Overall, this is not ideal for Robertson, and with the Maple Leafs needing cap space, the forward proves to be the perfect trade piece.
Nick's still available, he's still out there, everybody knows he's a piece that Toronto is willing to trade and because you're going to have guys coming back from injury....you gotta create a little bit of cap space.
Robertson's probably going to be the guy who's out."
Despite his early struggles, Robertson has come on strong as of late.
On Friday night, Robertson was able to score a goal against the Detroit Red Wings, bringing his season total to six. He also has three assists.
Overall, a trade would definitely help the Maple Leafs right now, and there are some who believe Yanni Gourde might be an option for the team.
While this would certainly be a nice solution right now, fans have to be a realistic about their expectations and the job currently being done by general manager Brad Treliving.
With the New Year around the corner, there is no doubt that the Leafs will be locking in on what moves they want to make with the playoffs not too far away.
