The trade deadline is just under a month away and Toronto Maple Leafs General Manager Brad Treliving is under a lot of pressure to do something.
His team is one of the best in the entire NHL, however, the roster does have some holes to fill and the fans want to see some sort of blockbuster move.
While speaking on TSN 1050, NHL insider Darren Dreger spoke about the Toronto Maple Leafs and what their plans might be as the deadline approaches.
As the TSN mainstay explained, Brad Treliving is one of the GMs ready to make a big splash and all signs point to the Maple Leafs doing something big down the road.
As we have extensively reported over the last few weeks, the Maple Leafs are looking for a center and they have quite a few on their list.
Chief among them is Scott Laughton of the Philadelphia Flyers, as well as Brock Nelson of the New York Islanders.
The Maple Leafs are also reportedly looking at some defenseman which could certainly be interesting amid Morgan Rielly's struggles.
Whatever the Leafs do, fans just want to see some playoff success, something that eluded them for decades.
Brad Treliving will be heavily scrutinized in the coming weeks and we would be lying if we said it wasn't deserved.
