John Tavares of the Toronto Maple Leafs was one of the many players left devastated as Max Pacioretty got injured last night.

Overall, it was a solid night for the Maple Leafs as they knocked off the Montreal Canadiens by a score of 4-1. However, Pacioretty's injury certainly brought the mood down significantly.

It was one of those things that came out of nowhere and it was pretty sad to witness, all things considered.

For now, a full diagnosis on Pacioretty has not been given. However, players on the Maple Leafs are speaking out on what went down. Below, you can see just how sad Tavares is about all of it.

John Tavares speaks on Max Pacioretty

«You just hope the news is better than how he's feeling in the moment It's never easy to see. We've obviously found some chemistry together and had some success early, so we're obviously going to miss him and what he brings to the table.»

For the Maple Leafs, Pacioretty has had an up and down season. He has been scratched a few times but with Auston Matthews out of the lineup, Pacioretty has been around to help out quite a bit.

Overall, one can't help but feel bad for him. He has dealt with a ton of injuries over the past few years. As he gets older, these injuries could put a stop to his career.

Only time will tell what is wrong with Pacioretty and whether or not he will be able to come back soon.
