Prior to going down with an injury, Anthony Stolarz was a Vezina trophy candidate with a goals-against average of 2.15 and a save percentage of .927.
Joseph Woll and Dennis Hildeby have been holding down the net in Stolarz's absence although their numbers are nowhere near as efficient.
Having said that, there have been all sorts of reports as of late as it pertains to when the goaltender will be able to make his comeback.
Today, Anthony Stolarz was back at practice and as you can see down below, he was taking shots from his goalie coach.
The goaltender's lateral movement was quite good and he appeared to be quite nimble and comfortable between the pipes.
Whenever a goalie goes down with a knee injury, movement in the crease is the biggest concern, and this instance is not exception.
Tonight, the Maple Leafs will play against the Tampa Bay Lightning and the goaltender between the pipes will be Woll.
On Wednesday night, Dennis Hildeby will presumably get the start against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
As for Stolarz, he could be back as early as the first week of February which is exciting news for all of the Leafs fans out there.
