Last night, the Toronto Maple Leafs came through and defeated the Dallas Stars by a score of 5-3 in a game that many fans were impressed by.
The team got scoring up and down the lineup as William Nylander had two markers, while Max Domi, Nick Robertson, and Bobby McMann also lit the lamp.
However, there was at least one person who was not impressed with the Maple Leafs win.
That person just so happens to be Mark Spector, a reporter for Sportsnet who mainly covers the Edmonton Oilers.
In a Tweet, Spector went after the Leafs for being "lucky" and made the erroneous claim that they only one because the opposing goaltender had an off night.
As you can imagine, there were a lot of Leafs fans who got on Spector's case after his tweet, especially since it was uncalled for.
Some noted how the Edmonton Oilers got lucky getting to the Stanley Cup Finals last season, and that he is the last person who should talk.
It is definitely bizarre to see a reporter throw shade like this, especially when the Oilers aren't even close to being involved.
Having said that, the Oilers and Leafs are two teams who could very well make the Stanley Cup Finals, and if they do matchup against each other, it would be the series of the century.
