Team USA and Team Canada will play each other in the 4 Nations Face-Off final and with the Americans dealing with injuries, they have decided to bring in new guys.

Tonight, Canada and the United States will play in one of the most important games in the history of hockey.

The first 4 Nations Face-Off matchup between these two teams was iconic and now, we get to see them back in the Finals against one another.

Team USA call-ups for the 4 Nations Face-Off

As we previously reported, Charlie McAvoy is out tonight due to a shoulder injury that went horribly wrong.

The team attempted to call up Quinn Hughes, however, he was unable to pass a medical physical which keeps him from traveling to Boston. Subsequently, the Americans have decided to extend invitations to two different players.

According to Frank Seravalli, Tage Thompson and Brett Pesce have been called up as potential spares just in case the Americans deal with illnesses and injuries.

It is very unlikely that these players actually hit the ice, however, this is good insurance for the Americans if they need it.

Overall, this is going to be a spectacular game and there is a lot of fanfare around it.

Ticket prices are over $1200 for this match, and for a lot of fans, this is a once-in-a-lifetime event that could come with a whole bunch of National pride and political implications.

While Team USA won the first matchup, history says that Canada has a very good chance of winning the second game.

No matter what, the fans are going to win here, and we cannot wait to see how this epic match plays out.
