The Toronto Maple Leafs have not been getting good goaltending out of Joseph Woll and Dennis Hildeby lately, but those are their two options against the New Jersey Devils.

In the last two games, Joseph Woll has allowed nine goals on 56 shots which is not going to get you very far in the NHL.

Meanwhile, Dennis Hildeby has struggled at times despite being above .500 in his five career NHL stars.

Maple Leafs starting goalie against the New Jersey Devils

Tonight, the Toronto Maple Leafs have an extremely important game against the New Jersey Devils as they look to break their three-game losing streak.

After two straight bad performances from Woll, fans have been eager to see who Craig Berube would go with tonight.

According to David Alter, the Leafs are sticking with Joseph Woll, and it is presumed that Hildeby will get the call against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday.

Prior to this recent losing skid, Woll had been playing very well for the Leafs, however, he has fallen off as of late.

In fact, the goaltender seems to struggle against the best teams in the league. His last two losses were against the Dallas Stars and the Carolina Hurricanes.

Moreover, Woll struggled in his win against the Boston Bruins on January 4th, allowing four goals on 31 shots.

If the Maple Leafs want to defeat the New Jersey Devils tonight, they are going to need Woll to be playing his best hockey.

That said, it is going to take more than just goaltending to win tonight. It will take a huge effort from the entire roster.
