head coach Craig Berube gave an update on forward Max Pacioretty since he left practice before it even started on Wednesday.

After skating for a short period of time before the team's second session following the 4 Nations Face-Off break, Pacioretty exited and it has started some concerns about his health.

What does Craig Berube had to say on the injury of Max Pacioretty

Craig Berube later revealed that the veteran «tweaked something» before stepping on the ice.

"I really don't have any definite answers yet on him. I don't think it's serious. We'll just have to see where he's at."

The 2024-25 season has been a challenge for the 36-year-old winger since he only has played 37 of Toronto's 55 games this year and he only scored 5 goals and 13 points in those games.

After two Achilles tears and surgeries, Max Pacioretty's durability on the ice remains a major concern and it has been during his whole career.

On a better note for the Leafs, the forward Calle Jarnkrok is making significant progress toward his return.

Craig Berube didn't confirm a timeline for his return, but he noted that Calle Jarnkrok is «really coming along.»

The Toronto Maple Leafs return to action on Saturday and is hosting the Carolina Hurricanes at Scotiabank Arena.

But for now let's see who will win the matchup at the 4 Nations Face-off between Team Canada and Team USA which is promising to be very exciting.
