For the last few weeks, Auston Matthews has been out of the Maple Leafs lineup with a mysterious upper-body injury that has not been divulged upon.
What we do know about the injury is that Matthews went all the way to Munich, Germany to get some treatment.
Now, it is expected that Matthews will be his usual self, which is music to the ears of both Leafs players, and the fans.
On Saturday, the Leafs are taking on the Lightning, where they will look to bounce back after a disappointing 5-1 loss at the hands of the Florida Panthers.
Ahead of this important game, the Leafs took to the ice for practice, and once again, Matthews was in attendance.
According to Luke Fox, the Leafs captain was even out there with a new line combination.
On the right win, Matthews had William Nylander. Meanwhile, Matthew Knies was on the left wing.
Matthews usually plays with Knies and Mitch Marner, so this won't be too much of a change.
Nylander currently leads the Maple Leafs in goals, and it should make for an interesting combination here.
In 13 games so far this season, Matthews has been able to manage a total of 5 goals and 6 assists for 11 points.
Once he returns to full strength, we might just see him return to last season's form, where he scored a total of 69 goals in 81 games.
No matter what, Matthews is the captain, and it is always better to have your captain in the lineup, even if you are 7-2 without him this season.
