The Oilers are a team on the up and up following a disastrous first 10 games of the NHL season.
Meanwhile, the Leafs had the opposite start, but have recently begun to falter as their offense has gone stagnant. In fact, they have lost three games in a row.
Tonight's game is in Edmonton which is two hours behind the Eastern Time Zone. However, the game is still going to take place at 7 PM EST, which means the Oilers are playing at 5 PM local time.
This is not the norm for the Oilers, however, because the Maple Leafs are such a big draw, they were forced to change their schedule around.
While speaking to the media, Connor McDavid did not appear to be amused by any of this as he felt it was off that the home team would have to adapt to the visiting team.
He did acknowledge that he prefers 5 PM start times anyway, so his complaints were all for nothing.
Now, the Maple Leafs have an opportunity to make McDavid pay for his whining, although it is going to be a difficult task.
All we know is that the Leafs need to start scoring goals, and the Oilers' goaltending is usually friendly to that kind of thing.
A win would be huge, especially with three more road games to go after this that will eventually lead into the 4 Nations Face-Off.
