Ever since Auston Matthews' return from injury, he has been playing on a line with William Nylander and Matthew Knies.
However, he has mostly played with Mitch Marner throughout his career, and fans were hoping for Craig Berube to reunite them.
That is exactly what happened on Wednesday night as the Leafs took on the Nashville Predators in Toronto.
The Leafs won the game and Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews connected for two goals. Matthews scored both while Marner had an assist on each.
The goal below was the second of the game for the Leafs and was easily the most impressive of the entire night.
Matthews finished the game with his two goals while Marner had a total of three assists and it was yet another example of his dominance.
As Luke Fox of Sportsnet pointed out, Marner has gotten two or more points in 10 of the last 12 games.
These are incredible numbers, and it is yet another example of just how fantastic Marner has been this season.
Meanwhile, the Leafs are on a very impressive run right now that should put the entire National Hockey League on notice.
They have won 10 of the last 12 games and now have a record of 16-7-2. The Leafs are first in the Atlantic Division and it just keeps getting better for them.
