Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube has a lot to figure out when it comes to the team's power play, which was awful against the St. Louis Blues.

Overall, the team went 0-4 and it came after an 0-2 showing against the Seattle Kraken. The team's power play has a success rate of 7.8 percent which is truly terrible and no Stanley Cup contender should be that awful. Some fans even want Marc Savard fired because of all of this.

Having said that, after last night's game, Berube spoke about the power play and what is going wrong right now. He was honest, but also charitable to his players.

Craig Berube gets brutally honest

"We were down. We tried to load it up and see if we could get one.

For me, it is execution. The other thing is that there is not a directness to it. We are not getting pucks to the net enough. We are on the power play. We need to shoot pucks more, get pucks to the net, and create opportunities around the net on broken plays, but we're not. There is not a shot mentality on the power play right now. It is execution."

Tonight, the Leafs will be taking on the Minnesota Wild where they will look to get their power play going. If they can't make that happen, then the fans are certainly going to be looking for answers.
