Easton Cowan was completely ridiculed for his play at the World Juniors and it has led to speculation about whether or not the kid would be able to bounce back in a big way.
Those questions were answered on Friday night as he made his return to the London Knights of the OHL.
Coming into the game, Cowan was on a 56-game point streak, and he was looking to extend that record against the Windsor Spitfires.
In the end, that is exactly what Cowan did as he set up his teammate for a beautiful snipe.
Needless to say, this was the kind of play that shows you what kind of talent Cowan possesses. Moreover, it shows that things aren't as hopeless as they seemed following the World Juniors.
In 21 games this season, Easton Cowan has picked up a total of 29 points with 15 of those being goals.
Overall, he has been pretty lights out all things considered, even if there have been a ton of criticisms towards his demeanor and attitude.
Last season, the forward had a total of 96 points in 54 games, so there is no doubt that he has immense talent and can light the lamp.
Hopefully, throughout the rest of the season, Cowan is able to continue his development and show people just how good of a player he is.
While he might be going through a rough patch, there is still hope for him to get out there and be his usual self again.
