Former Maple Leafs GM Reportedly Looking to Make a Run At Mitch Marner
forward Mitch Marner is going to be a free agent this summer and it would appear as though some teams are trying to make a huge run at him.
Mitch Marner is one of the best players on the Toronto Maple Leafs and if you have been paying attention, you know that he is up for a contract this summer.

Having said that, there are a few teams that are looking to pounce and one of them just so happens to employ former Maple Leafs GM Lou Lamoriello.
The New York Islanders have to make some decisions involving defenseman Noah Dobson and according to reporter Anthony LaRocco, the team is unsure of his value.
Dobson is highly regarded by other teams, and if moved he would return a difference maker at the forward position.
Meanwhile, Lamoriello is plotting to go after Marner if he becomes available on July 1st.
If one of those deals can't get done, he's most likely to get extended. If that happens, the #Isles will take a huge run at signing Mitch Marner come 7/1.
The Islanders are not the only team who are thinking of making a run at Marner as the Chicago Blackhawks and the Utah Hockey Club have also been linked to the Maple Leafs star.
If you are the Leafs, you have to make sure you sign Marner, especially when you consider just how good he has been this season.
Only time will tell if Brad Treliving makes the right decision and keeps the Core Four together.
